Annual Conference

The Japan Wetland Society organizes an annual national conference every year. The conference was held for the first time in 2009 and will be held for the 12th time in fiscal year 2020. The most significant feature of the Annual Meeting of The Japan Wetland Society is that various stakeholders including practitioners, citizens, and young generations from all over the country gather to discuss wetland conservation and wise use, etc. from a wide range of perspectives, regardless of the field of expertise. Each conference is held at wetland-related locations across the country and consists of public symposiums, research presentations, and excursions usually held over two days.
